Engineers Without Borders

The regular October chapter meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 1st at the usual time and location.

12-1pm at the CH2MHill Conference room (7th floor, Wells Fargo Building), 90 S. Cascade Ave in Colorado Springs.

Tech update: I am going to try and set up a web teleconference capability so you can attend the meeting via the web if you cannot make it downtown.

We will discuss the progress on our Boliva Projects.

Bolivia

We are working with a local Bolivian group that supports EWB to line up several projects. Engineers In Action (EIA) is located in La Paz and has previous experience coordinating projects for EWB Chapters.

Projects Under Investigation

1. Molli Pongo, Suncallo, & Comucala – Intake and Aqua Duct System for irrigation
2. San Lorenzo – Enlarge a community hospital
3. Patapani – Potable water system for drinking

Greetings all…the September Chapter Meeting will be held Saturday, Sept. 6th at the CH2M Hill Conference Room. Time is: 1:30pm. Location is: 90 South Cascade Ave., Suite 700, Colorado Springs.

We have a guest speaker coming down from the EWB-USA National office. Colleen O’Holleran is our Regional Chapter Relations Manager and will be presenting on Project Selection/Initiation, Chapter Organization, and Fund Raising/Community Partnerships.

The Air Force Academy and UCCS Student Chapters are invited and encouraged to attend. In fact, EVERYONE is invited! Please come and get involved.
