This is a view of the original spring box which we call Water Source #1. The intake is on the right side.
Here you can see the overflow pipe is active. Excess water is not available for use by the community. You can see the large lush green area to the right where the main drainage way flows. The ground is very spongy and there is obviously a lot of water present just below the surface.
This is a view looking down the drainage way from the spring box. It’s pretty flat…well for around here anyway.
This is a view looking up the drainage way from the spring box. You can see that it drains a fairly large watershed. We did not observe any surface flow along here, it seems to be all sub-surface.
This is a view of Suncallo from a little west of Water Source #1. The spring box is just out of the picture to the right.
Panning to the right a little you can now see how the spring box is laid out in the drainage area.
